Author guidelines


By the preparation of the journal "Mining bulletin of Uzbekistan" for the foreign analytical database SCOPUS, in order to successful register publications in any of the internationally recognized databases; it is required correctly format the articles that are subject to publication. SCOPUS (international analytical system) has requirements that must be met by the authors of the articles. The quality of the presented material should be at the highest level; this applies not only to the semantic load, but also to its presentation.

Articles submitted to the journal “Mining bulletin of Uzbekistan” must satisfy the following requirements:

Published information presents in the form of 2 components. One of them maximally reveals the topic in scientific and practical terms. Due to it, the reader manages to understand the essence of the issue. Since the specified component is sent to the database, it is necessary to carefully select the title of the publication, carefully compile the author’s resume or a summary of the information about the article, and select keywords. Each interested subject in the international arena and among compatriots, so that his article arouses interest, easily perceives the most important thing for the author.

A review (expert conclusion) about possibility of publishing material in the open press must be attached to the article.

Standard article size: 4-10 pages of text + 3-4 figures. The text prints with 1 interval in Times New Roman font size 10. Formulas must be entered using the formula editor (formulas must not be scanned). You must send the articles by e-mail to the address of one of the authors of the article (for sending the article if you have some questions).

The material should be presented briefly, without repeating the data of tables and figures in the text; references, tables and figures should be given in the text (by serial number). Figures and tables should have a title.

An article should have no more than 5-6 authors (the rest participating in the work can be indicated in a footnote). For each of the authors, detailed information must be attached (place of work, position, academic degree, academic title, mailing address, phone, e-mail).

The article must necessarily have an annotation, keywords (in Russian and Uzbek (latin)) and references.

The annotation for the article (in accordance with the requirements of international databases) should fully disclose its content and have an average volume of at least 10-12 lines (or from 100 to 250 words).

Keywords should contain an average of at least 12-20 words.

The list of references should correspond to the requirements of GOST 7.1-2003 (and its later version of 2008) and have an average of 7-10 sources (of which no more than 25% are for own works), with the obligatory inclusion of sources later than 2000, and contain the following information:

 - when referring to a journal article - the name and initials of the author, the full name of the journal, year of publication, volume, number, page of the beginning and end of the article;

 - when referring to a book - the name and initials of the author, the name of the work, place of publication, publishing house (for a foreign source, it is enough to indicate the city), year of publication, total number of pages in the book;

 - when referring to an article in the collection - the name of the collection, number of issue (or volume), place of publication, publishing house (or publishing organization), pages of the beginning and end of the article;

 - for Internet links - the name of the resource and publication, access mode.

The reference number is given in square brackets in the appropriate place in the text.

When sending an article by e-mail, the text part of the article must be written in a file in the format of a text editor Word for Windows. Pictures must be given as separate graphic files in JPEG, TIF, EPS or PSD format with a sufficient resolution (at least 300 dpi at a scale 1: 1).

The tables in the article should have a name, the link to the table is indicated in brackets in the appropriate place in the text.

Figures for the article should be clear, suitable for computer reproduction. You should not overload them with secondary data that are not directly related to the text of the article. Color photographs should preferably be accompanied by captions.

Units of measurement and designations must be given in the SI International System of Units.

Non-compliance of the materials of the article with the above requirements may serve as a reason for refusal to publish.

Making the text of the article:

Headline style:

Font set "Arial", 18 pt, with capital letters, left, no hyphenation, bold;

Above the title of the article (after 1 interval), in the right corner - the name and initials of the authors, 8 size, normal; UDC index - in the left corner;

Under the title of the article - the name and initials of the authors - in bold; place of work, position scientific title, name of organization, 8 size, regular.

Annotation style:

Font set "Times New Roman", 10 size, italic;

Location below the title of the article (after 1 interval).

Keyword style:

Font set "Times New Roman", 10 size, italics;

The word "Keywords" is bold.

Location below annotation.

Main text style:

Font set "Times New Roman", 10 pt, regular;

line space - single;

indention - 0.5 cm;

hanging line not allowed;

Page margins: left, - 3 cm: top, bottom, right - 2 cm.

Table style:

The name of the table is the font set "Arial", 8 size, bold, in the center.

Typing table font "Times New Roman", 8 pt, regular.

Formula style:

Writing formulas and special characters exclusively in the editor "Microsoft Equation-3". Formulas are centered.

 Illustrations:

Illustrations should be clear, ready for printing, inserted into the text and attached in separate files of GIF, BMP, JPEG format; If possible, drawings should be black and white.

Contact information is provided authors, e-mail and contact phone number at the end of the article without fail.

References (bibliography):

List style - font set "Arial", 8 size, italics. At least 12 references, literature published no more than 5 years ago. References should be written after the word "References".

SUPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTS: in English - the title of the article. Full name .. place of work and position of authors, abstract, list of used literature.

The abstract includes the following aspects of the content of the article: - subject, topic, purpose of the work; - method or methodology of the work; - results of work (200-300 words).
